Stuffed jalapeños are a favorite appetizer around here—big surprise, we know. Try our latest version with a zesty lump crab filling.

4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup jumbo lump crab meat
½ shallot, minced
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons of your favorite hot sauce
12 large jalapeños
1. Preheat the grill to medium-high.
2. Combine the cream cheese, crab, shallots, garlic and hot sauce in a mixing bowl. Set aside.
3. Cut the tops off the jalapeños, reserving for later. Scoop out the seeds and membranes and stuff with the crab mixture. Return the tops and securing with a toothpick.
4. Grill the poppers, about 5–7 minutes per side, until tender and charred. Let cool slightly, remove the toothpicks and tops and serve warm.
